Exporting Calendars

QReserve supports exporting your personal reservation calendar, the lab calendar, or individual resources, via the industry standard iCalendar format.

Google Calendar (Real-Time) Connection

Please refer to our Google Calendar Integration page for information on setting up a real-time QReserve to Google Calendar connection.

Microsoft Outlook (Real-Time) Connection

Please refer to our Outlook Calendar Integration page for information on setting up a real-time QReserve to Outlook Calendar connection.

Export via ICS Feed

QReserve also supports ICS calendar feed URLs to publish your reservations at a special URL that other calendar applications and services can periodically pull from. Unfortunately, many online services including Google and Microsoft have greatly reduced the frequency at which they will update an ICS feed and so, if at all possible, we recommend using one of our official integrations or use an application that provides a more frequent update schedule.

  1. Click the Profile menu link to access your profile page.

  2. Scroll down to the Personal Reservations Calendar Subscription Feed section:

  3. Copy the URL provided for use in your external calendar application.

Timezone Note: Calendar events are exported in UTC timezone format to allow your calendar application to automatically convert them to your local time. Events viewed on QReserve are always shown in your site's local timezone setting. This means that the time displayed in your calendar application may be different from the time shown in QReserve if your computer is setup to be in a different timezone from your QReserve site.

Importing into Outlook.com Calendar

Please refer to the Subscribe to a Calendar section of this Microsoft article.

Importing into Google Calendar

Google calendar feeds can be added by selecting From URL under the Other calendars dropdown.

Note: Google can sometimes take 8-24 hours to update new reservation information. This is a current limitation of Google calendar's other calendars feature.
