Audit Log
The Audit Log page under Reports provides administrators with a detailed, searchable activity ledger. It records actions taken across the site—including changes to reservations, resource settings, user approvals, and automated system events—to ensure full transparency and compliance.
Filters
Use the filtering controls to isolate specific events, timeline windows, or target objects.
- Hide Filters / Show Filters: Toggle this button in the top right corner to collapse or expand the filter panel.
- Date Range (Start / End): Set a specific start and end date to review system activity that occurred within that timeframe.
- User Performing Action: Filter the log by the individual user or automated system process that initiated the activity.
- Project: Narrow results down to actions tied directly to a specific project.
- User Acted On: Search for logs where a specific user account was the subject or recipient of an action.
- Resource: Filter log entries by a specific resource or asset.
- Filter On (Primary) / Filter On (Secondary): Categorize entries using high-level primary and secondary action filters to quickly isolate specific system events.
- Reservation ID: Input a unique reservation identifier code to pull up the complete, step-by-step audit history for a single booking.
- Apply Filters: Updates the log table below using your selected criteria.
- Reset Filters: Clears all active filters and returns the view to the default site-wide log.
Audit Log Results Table
The log displays results in reverse chronological order, providing a comprehensive record of system events using the following parameters:
- Actor: Displays the timestamp (date and time) of the event alongside the name of the user or system process (e.g., automated system bots) responsible for performing the action.
- Action: Highlights the type of action taken using color-coded status tags (such as Create or Modify).
- Object: Identifies the target item or entity affected by the change (e.g., a Request, Parent Object, or Resource) along with its unique ID or direct name link.
- Item: Describes the specific field, setting, or workflow event that was triggered or updated (e.g., status initialization, request creation, approval update, or tag removal).
- Value: Provides detailed specifics regarding the change made, such as updated booking statuses, parameter details, or approval states.
- View Previous Value: Where applicable, click this link to inspect the historical state or prior value of an item before the change occurred.
