The Heatmaps Report page under Reports provides administrators with visual, color-coded density charts that illustrate booking concentration and utilization trends across different days of the week, helping facilities identify peak usage hours and off-peak opportunities.

Filters

Tailor your heatmap analytics to examine specific datasets or resource segments.

• Hide Filters / Show Filters: Click this toggle in the top right corner to collapse or expand the filter panel.
• Date Range (Start / End): Select a custom date range to evaluate heatmap density across a specific timeframe.
• User: Filter the heatmap data to display activity associated with a specific individual member.
• User Group: Limit results to show reservation density generated by members of a specific user group.
• Resources: Isolate the analysis to one or more selected resources or assets.
• Category: Filter heatmap data by resource category.
• Tags: Add custom tag filters to group and analyze resources sharing specific administrative tags.
• Apply Filters: Updates the visual heatmap chart using your chosen criteria.
• Reset Filters: Clears all active filter parameters and resets the report view.

Heatmap Report Views & Controls

Switch between different organizational perspectives and adjust how many items are rendered on the chart:

• By Resources (Tab): Displays a row-by-row heatmap breakdown comparing reservation density across individual site resources against days of the week.
• By Users (Tab): Aggregates reservation activity to show peak booking days grouped by individual users.
• By User Groups (Tab): Visualizes booking density broken down by entire user groups or departments.
• Show up to [X] items (Dropdown): Adjust the maximum number of rows (e.g., top resources, users, or groups) displayed concurrently on the heatmap grid.
• Download Icon: Located above the chart on the right, this button allows administrators to export the generated heatmap visualization or underlying dataset for external reporting.

Heatmap Visualization Grid

The core chart plots data across a two-dimensional grid to highlight usage intensity at a glance:

• Y-Axis (Rows): Lists the analyzed entities (such as individual resource names, site users, or user groups, depending on your selected view tab).
• X-Axis (Columns): Displays the days of the week (Mon through Sun) to highlight weekly utilization patterns.
• Grid Cells & Numeric Density: Each cell displays a numerical value representing aggregated reservation metrics (such as total hours or reservation counts) logged for that item on that day of the week.
• Color Density Scale: A vertical intensity legend on the right indicates activity volume using color gradient shifts. Darker or more saturated blocks indicate lower booking concentration and available capacity, while lighter blocks represent higher activity and peak usage.
